Am married to my lovely and very patient wife Carol. It is only through her generosity and kindhearted nature that I get to do what I do. I've 3 sons, Dan, Sam and Rob, all of whom I am immensly proud of.
Having spent many very happy years fishing for nothing but Carp, I found myself becoming bored and looking for a new challenge. So two years ago I sold and swapped my carp gear for coarse gear. I had a great first year, discovering all sorts of wonderfull, beautifull lakes, rivers and canals around the country. In an effort to learn more I decided to enter the world of match fishing.
I joined Enfield CAC and fished the winter league on canals in the Enfield area. What an eye opener that was, it became apparent very quickly that I had an awful lot to learn. I reached my goal of not finishing last and decided I'd do more.
So here I am, a year later and hopefully a little better at it and the coming Winter League, will I suppose, prove or possibly dis prove that.
I've decided to start this blog as a way of keeping a record for myself and to show to others who may be thinking of giving it a go, that anything is possible.
